As the guest list keeps expanding and some bridezilla moments start to pop up, Snoop humorously quips, This wedding is gonna turn into a f—ing nightmare. Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, dreams of a fairytale wedding but things are definitely not going as planned.
In the upcoming E! docuseries *Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story*, 25-year-old Cori and her fiancé Wayne Duece take viewers behind the scenes as they try to put together their ideal wedding.
Since getting engaged in November 2022, they’ve experienced plenty of ups and downs along the way, even starting to wonder if they’ll actually make it down the aisle.
In a trailer for this three-part series, we see Cori and Wayne reflecting on their engagement and what lies ahead. I love Wayne so much, says Cori, while Wayne adds with enthusiasm, Now that we’re engaged, it’s time to get this wedding rolling.
It sounds like Cori has a tight schedule in mind; when her planner asks about a date, she responds with “four months.” And her vision for the guest list is pretty ambitious too—she wants 750 attendees! One family member comments, “I think this wedding is going to be insane.”
They also brainstorm ideas for how Wayne will make his grand entrance at the wedding. I’m a princess so my prince has got to go all out, Cori insists.
To which Wayne playfully suggests coming in on a helicopter! When it comes to entertainment for their guests, Cori dreams big: “My dream would be Justin Bieber,” she shares. This leads Snoop—at 53 years old—to jokingly tell her she’s got “too many goddamn dreams.”
Another moment shows Cori dealing with negative comments about her relationship with Wayne. “Of course the haters come around eventually,” she remarks about critics saying things like he’s only with her because of her dad.
We even see her trying on wedding dresses but not enjoying it one bit; standing in a strapless gown with a high slit, she expresses frustration: “I hate my body… This dress isn’t making me feel sexy.”
The trailer hints that planning this big day might be straining their relationship too; at one point she tells Wayne he’s acting like a f—ing bridezilla! Later on, she admits they’re facing some serious issues as footage shows them attending pre-marital counseling where Wayne drops hints that maybe the wedding won’t happen after all.
Meanwhile, Snoop watches everything unfold from afar and bluntly states his thoughts: “This is gonna be a f—ing nightmare.” The trailer wraps up on an intense note as we see Cori being rushed to the ER where doctors reveal she’s had a stroke—a serious concern given that she was diagnosed with lupus at age six which can increase stroke risk.
My health has been getting worse. I’m in pain and really scared, she shares. Why is this happening to me? Last year, Cori opened up to Teen Vogue about her relationship with Duece, revealing that she never thought she’d be planning a wedding in her early 20s.
They had discussed marriage, but at that point, she felt like they were already living as a married couple. There’s no hurry; we’re still young and have plenty of time ahead of us, she mentioned back then.
However, after Wayne proposed, she realized she’s excited about all the forever stuff that comes with being married. I’m so happy we’re together, she told the magazine.
I’ve finally found my peace. The series Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story is produced by Death Row Pictures and 101 Studios, with executive producers including Snoop Dogg, Shante Broadus, Sara Ramaker, David Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, and Alexander Lipsitz.
