Third Attempt on Trump’s Life? Iranian National Accused of Conspiring to Assassinate the Former President

So, here’s the scoop: Trump is set to make his comeback to the White House this January, but it hasn’t been all smooth sailing for him.

Back in July, there was an assassination attempt where he got shot in the ear! Now, an Iranian guy named Farhad Shakeri has been charged for supposedly being part of a plot by Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) to take out Trump—who, by the way, is already a survivor of two previous attempts on his life.

The Justice Department called Shakeri an Iranian asset, saying he was given orders from the Iranian regime on October 7 to go after Trump’s life.

At 51 years old, Shakeri reportedly told law enforcement that he didn’t plan on actually carrying out any attack within the timeline set by the IRGC.

Attorney General Merrick B Garland commented that they’ve charged this Iranian operative with leading a group of criminals to push forward Iran’s assassination schemes against various targets, including soon-to-be President Trump.

The IRGC has been labeled a terrorist organization by the US government.

FBI Director Christopher Wray added that these charges show Iran hasn’t stopped going after US citizens—especially those like Trump and other officials who speak out against them.

He emphasized that the IRGC has been working with criminals and hitmen to target Americans right here in the US, which is absolutely unacceptable.

Interestingly enough, Shakeri came to America as a kid but got deported around 2008 after getting into trouble for robbery. Prosecutors think he’s currently back in Iran.

On top of everything else, he’s also facing charges for allegedly hiring two guys in New York—whom he met while serving time—to take out an Iranian-American who has publicly criticized Tehran.

Those two men from New York—Carlisle Rivera and Jonathan Loadholt—are also facing charges related to this murder plot. Quite a wild story!

Dangers and Canine Robots

After facing two assassination attempts, keeping the president-elect safe has become the US Secret Service’s top priority as he heads towards the most powerful position in the country.

At Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, they’ve even brought in robotic dogs to help with security. Back in July, during a rally in Pennsylvania, a bullet actually grazed Trump’s ear during one of those attempts.

Then just three months later, there was another scary incident at his golf club in Florida where gunfire erupted nearby. Thankfully, he wasn’t hurt that time around.

Following the election results on November 6 that confirmed his return for a second term, Trump shared during his victory speech that he believes God spared him for a purpose: And that reason was to save our country and to restore America to greatness, he declared.
