Jake E. Lee, the ex-guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, is sharing his experience following a shooting incident in Las Vegas.
On Thursday morning, he shared a detailed Facebook post discussing his injuries.
I truly value all the kindness and support I’ve received; it really helps during this tough time. Just to be clear, I was shot three times while returning home from walking my dog, Coco (I didn’t choose the name, so please don’t blame me for it!). I prefer not to share more details right now, Lee shared. I’m exhausted, but I consider myself fortunate overall.
Lee, an experienced musician known for collaborating with Osbourne and establishing the bands Badlands and Red Dragon Cartel, was shot multiple times early Tuesday morning while taking his dog for a walk in Las Vegas.
He went on to explain, The authorities discovered 15 shell casings at the location, indicating that he fired his entire magazine at me. I managed to evade some of the shots, but ultimately one hit my forearm, another struck my foot, and a third went through my back, resulting in a broken rib and a lung injury.
Jake E. Lee, the former guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, was shot multiple times in an apparently unprovoked incident in Las Vegas.
According to a prior statement from Lee’s management, the incident is currently being investigated. However, law enforcement believes that the shooting was entirely coincidental and happened while Lee was walking his dog in the early morning.
In a Facebook update on Wednesday, Lee mentioned that his top health concern is to drain his lung until it stops producing fluid. He added that once that’s accomplished, they can remove the tube and focus on addressing the less serious injuries.
Ozzy Osbourne shared with TMZ that he hasn’t crossed paths with Lee in 37 years, yet the news of what happened to him today is still shocking. He described it as yet another pointless act of gun violence. Ozzy expressed his thoughts for Lee and his lovely daughter, Jade, hoping for Lee’s well-being.
